Phillip Boykin is presently performing in his Broadway Debut As Crown in the new Broadway Version of The Gershwin’s “PORGY AND BESS” at the Richard Rodgers Theatre located at 226 West 46th Street, in New York City.
This show has been extended 3 times and is scheduled to run through the end of September 2012.

10 TONY AWARDS Nominations including Phillip Boykin For (Best Performance By An Actor In A Featured Role Of A Musical)
Porgy and Bess will begin a National Tour in the fall of 2013.
Mr. Boykin received the 2012 Theatre World Award for An Outstanding Broadway Debut
and
the 2012 I.R.N.E. Award for his the role of Crown.
Phillip was also nominated for a “Outer Critics Circle Award”, and a “Drama Desk Award”.
